Located in the heart of Montana’s Big Sky Country, the J.M. Nansel Ranch Co. is a three generation working cattle ranch. J.E. Nansel and his son J.M. Nansel began building the ranch with the purchase of the ranch headquarters in 1948. J.M. Nansel moved to the ranch in 1957 and operated the ranch with his wife, Joanne and their six children until his passing in 1995.

The Nansel family continues to operate the guest ranch and offers to you an unforgettable experience. Sit horseback and move & brand cattle as they did in 1948.

Upon your arrival to our Montana ranch, let one of our experienced cowboys or cowgirls take you through riding lessons and a trail ride. If that’s not enough, get close to our gentle giants as you learn to drive one of our Belgian draft horse hitches.
